Context
Automation Anywhere software provides a platform for enterprises to design, develop, and orchestrate processes through multiple editors such as the API Editor, Task Bot Editor, Process Composer, and Form Editor.
Each editor is built around three core parts:

Elements Panel : act as muscles for powering actions

Canvas : act as body for structuring automation

Property Panel : act as heart for pumping in logic, values, and flow to bring bots and processes to life

Historically, design efforts focused on the canvas and elements, while the properties panel was largely engineered without UX involvement. As a result, the properties panel evolved inconsistently - not only across editors but even within the same editor - leading to fragmented experiences for developers.
Problem statement
The properties panel " the heartbeat of automation " was fragmented and inconsistent, creating friction and frustration for developers.
Despite being central to every interaction, the properties panel remained fragmented, inconsistent, and unintuitive across editors. This broke developers’ flow, disrupted muscle memory, and slowed execution. While the platform’s logic stayed intact, the developer experience suffered - making the properties panel the single most critical opportunity for redesign
Aim
Unify and standardize the properties panel across editors, creating a seamless, intuitive, and consistent experience that enhances developer productivity and satisfaction.
